Koutouloufari is a picturesque traditional and touristic village on the lower slopes of Crete's mountain range overlooking the sea. The deep green coloured olive trees separate Koutouloufari from Hersonissos.
You can easily walk to the sandy beach of Star Water Park, or the other sand beaches next to it (800 m).
The distance to the centre of the port of Hersonissos is 1km, 25 km to Heraklion, and 20 to the Airport.
Public bus service is available at a 700-metre distance, with connections to Heraklion, Mallia, Agios Nikolaos and the airport.
By bus:
Take the bus from the airport of Heraklion or the central bus station to Hersonissos. The ticket costs 3.30 € and the trip takes about 45'. Buses depart every 15 to 30 minutes starting from 06:00 in the morning until around midnight. You can check the timetables or book your ticket

When inside the bus, ask to disembark in the last stop of Hersonissos named "Belvedere" (bus stop Nr. 24). Shortly before the bus stop, you will find a big supermarket ("Select Hypermarket"). Next to it, to the right, there is a small road heading to the village of Koutouloufari. Follow this road, you will find some uphills and a cemetery on your way and in about 1km, you will find our hotel in your right hand.
By car:
You will enter the national road (E75) from Heraklion to Hersonissos / Aghios Nicolaos (30-35 km) and exit in the last intersection (Sign to: Hersonissos / Stalis), then follow the route shown below.
Private transfer:
Contact us and let us know your name, flight number and arrival time in the airport of Heraklion so we can book a transfer for you. A private cab-taxi (for up to 4 persons) costs 40 euro each way. Minivans (for more than 4 people) are also available.
Koutouloufari Village
The village of Koutouloufari in which our hotel is located, offers a lot of options for quality Greek, Mediterranean and Cretan traditional food. There are also traditional bars where you can drink your wine and relax.
The capital of Crete, with many places and shops to visit, such as Knossos (the largest and most glorious of all Minoan Palaces), the archaeological museum, the old Venetian fortress and others. (30 Km distance)
A magestic island, which used to be a leper colony in 1903, also known from the TV series "The island" (in 50 Km distance, reached by boat, usually from the port of Elouda).
Lasithi Plateau
In Dikti Mountain (35 Km distance).
Chersonissos Port
The port of Chersonissos is just 2 km from our hotel and there is plenty of places to visit and of course night life for those who want to party all night long!
The lovely city of Agios Nikolaos with its famous "endless lake" (in 40 Km distance)
"Vai" Palm tree forest
One of the greatest beaches in Crete and in whole Greece, surrounded by palm trees which create a majestic environment!
A small island surrounded by endless golden coloured sand, which can be reached with small boats departing from the port of Ierapetra (70 km distance)
